How to use Pit-os.com.

Create an account, post an item, list your business, stay safe. The whole site in four short reads.

§ 01

How to create an account

Go to the website

Visit pit-os.com.

Tap “Sign in”

Look for the green “Sign in” button at the top right and tap it.

Switch to “Sign up”

At the bottom of the form, tap “Sign up.”

Fill in your info

You need a valid, active email. We send a verification link.
  • Full name — your real name
  • Email — Gmail, Yahoo, anything you actually check
  • Phone — your mobile number
  • Password — at least 6 characters

Tap “Create account”

Review what you typed and create the account.

Check your email

Critical step — don't skip this. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
  • Open the email from Pit-os.com
  • Click the verification link
  • Your account is now active

You're in

Post items, list your business, or just browse around.
Common issues

I didn’t get the verification email

  • Check spam / junk
  • Make sure your email is typed correctly
  • Wait 5–10 minutes — sometimes it’s slow
  • Try again with a different email if needed

I forgot my password

  • Tap “Forgot your password?” on the sign-in screen
  • Follow the reset instructions in your email
§ 02

How to post an item for sale

Sign in

Open pit-os.com and sign in.

Go to Buy & Sell

Tap “Buy & Sell” in the top nav.

Fill in item details

Title

Be specific.

good:"iPhone 12 — 128GB Blue — Good Condition"

bad:"Phone for sale"

Price

Enter the amount (e.g. ₱15,000)

Category & Condition

Pick the right category. Be honest about condition.

Location

Where in Pit-os? (e.g. "Sitio Tapuko" or "near Barangay Hall")

Your contact info

These are already filled in from your profile. Change them per-item if you need to.

Write a description

Explain it clearly — why you're selling, any defects, what's included.

Example“Selling my iPhone 12 because I upgraded. Still works perfectly, minor scratches on the back. Includes charger and original box. Battery health at 85%.”

Add photos

Good photos = faster sale.
  • Natural lighting is best
  • Clean background
  • Show the actual item — no stock photos
  • Include close-ups of important features

Tap “Post item”

Done. Your listing is live.
Managing your listings

See your items: tap the user icon in the header → My Listings.

Mark as sold: open your item → tap “Mark as sold.” It stays visible but greyed out.

§ 03

How to add your business

Free listing for any Pit-os business, service, or side hustle.

Go to Directory

Sign in, tap “Directory” in the top nav.

Tap “Add a business”

Gold button at the top right of the directory.

Fill in business info

  • Name: as your customers know it
  • Category: Sari-sari, Food, Services, Rentals, Transport, Tutoring
  • Description: what you offer, what makes you good
  • Contact & location: phone, address in Pit-os, email (optional)
  • Social: Facebook, Instagram (optional)
  • Hours: when are you open

Add photos

Storefront, products, the space — make it look like the actual place.

Submit

Review and tap “Add business.” You're in the directory.

Safety tips

Stay safe when meeting strangers from any marketplace.

Buyers — do
  • · Meet in public places
  • · Bring a friend or family member
  • · Inspect the item before paying
  • · Ask questions before meeting
  • · Test electronics if possible
Buyers — don't
  • · Send money before seeing the item
  • · Go to private locations alone
  • · Share bank info
  • · Rush into a deal
  • · Pay full price for damaged items
Sellers — do
  • · Meet in public places, daytime
  • · Bring a friend
  • · Count cash carefully
  • · Be honest about condition
  • · Respond promptly to messages
Sellers — don't
  • · Hand over the item before payment
  • · Accept checks from strangers
  • · Share too much personal info
  • · Meet at home if you're not comfortable
Red flags
  • · Buyer or seller refuses to meet in person
  • · Price seems too good to be true
  • · They ask for money upfront
  • · They pressure you to decide quickly
  • · Poor communication or suspicious behavior
